Company Background
Hero section of our marketing landing page.
Trails across the nation need care, and trail users want to help, but there’s no easy way for them to connect.
With no streamlined way to contribute to trail orgs directly, trail users are left with an unfulfilled desire. What’s worse is that trail orgs are dealing with mountains (literal and figurative) of work with minimal personnel and are in desperate need of volunteers, too.
Our Solution
Trailfunds fills this gap between trail orgs and trail users.
Trailfunds makes it easy for trail users to discover ongoing maintenance projects as they explore trails by bridging this gap via a mobile app. They can contribute to or volunteer with the trail org directly. Trail orgs are able to create projects and goals, connect trailheads, and recruit trail users to volunteer for the org.
My Value Add
As someone passionate about sustainability and conservation, it is such a joy to work with a non-profit team committed to preserving our trails and planet.
I led the design of the mobile app, landing page, marketing materials, and overall visual branding of the organization.
I am working with the CEO of the organization, who is also our developer, to implement the mobile app and landing page, and with the other team members for our marketing and fundraising efforts.

Our Partners
We are continuously reaching out and connecting with trail orgs to learn about their needs and share our mission.
Trail orgs are in desperate need of not only sustained monetary contributions but also volunteers. They also provide so much more than just trail maintenance, including events and education. We are focused on Colorado right now but intend to expand to the rest of the nation.
Below are some of our partner organizations that support our mission.

Colorado Fourteeners Initiative

Cloud City Wheelers

Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers

COPMOBA Rider Built Trails
Mobile App
Since trail orgs desire continuous contribution, we have implemented a subscription-based model.
The app has a dashboard where trail orgs and trail users have a transparent view of their donations.
Trail users contribute directly to trail orgs via a subscription or an individual donation.
Our unique offer is that trail orgs will receive up to 90% of the total donation amount.
All transactions are secured via Stripe.

“Our partners are loving the mobile app and a lot of that has to do with the way it’s designed, thanks to you.”
Landing Page + Visual Design
As we connect with trail orgs, we are also presenting to investors, so we needed a beautiful landing page that showed our mission and brand.
I created an earthy, organic color palette and used organic shapes and terrain-style graphics to create the mobile-responsive landing page. This same visual design is used for the mobile app and marketing materials, too.
There is a demo of the app as well as a donate button on the live website www.trailfunds.org, if you feel so inclined 😉.

Marketing Materials
I also created this marketing presentation which explains our story and our mission for investors.
We are presenting at Colorado trail org conferences and meetings to gain traction with them.
